The country made up of islands

Indonesia has over 18.000 islands, from big to small. With so many beautiful and tropical places to choose from, it instantly becomes overwhelming trying to figure everything out. Having experienced it ourselves, we decided to help you with that. With months of travel experience in Indonesia and now living over 6 months on Lombok, we figured out the best routes to prevent you from making wrong decisions. All to ensure you will have a smooth trip and get the most out of it!

Enjoy panoramic coastal views from Bukit Merese near Kuta Lombok. One of the best things to do in South Lombok, it’s perfect for sunset, scenic walks, and a peaceful, halal-friendly travel experience.

How to travel to Indonesia?

You’ll probably fly to Jakarta (CGK) first and from there take a domestic flight to anywhere in Indonesia. Another option is to fly to Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and then take an international flight to your destination in Indonesia.

To compare cheap flights all year round, we use this site. If you plan enough in advance, you can find many deals to save a lot of money. For domestic flights we prefer this site (use code IMP10 for 10% off) to make sure we get the best deals.

Explore Lombok, Indonesia, a rising destination for halal travel in Asia. With beautiful beaches, peaceful nature, and easy access to halal food, mosques, and Muslim-friendly accommodations, Lombok offers a comfortable and worry-free experience. From Mount Rinjani to the Gili Islands, enjoy a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure while staying true to your values. Discover halal-friendly Lombok for your next getaway.

How many days do I need in Indonesia?

There are many options, because you can make it as long as you wish. But if you want to visit the best places with their highlights you’ll definitely need 2 weeks. For the full Indonesia experience you are going to need 3 to 4 weeks. That is exactly how we got you covered with the itinerary below.

If you want an itinerary for 2-, 3-, or 4- weeks, with different travel routes, and a detailed planning for each day. Make sure you get our travel-guide! We carefully designed this because of our love for Indonesia. It includes the best activities that are family- and kids-friendly, our favorite halal food places, the best times to travel and how to move around every place efficiently.
